Who of us does not know or have not heard of the infamous American Olympic basketball “Dream Team” with players like Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley among others who won the gold medal in the 1992 Barcelona games. Well this documentary, as the title hints, tells the story of the other dream team in the 92 Olympics which is the Lithuanian basketball team. The movie spends most of its time in explaining the back story of Lithuania in order for the viewer to get into the emotions behind the team.

This is not just a sport documentary, as a matter of fact it is more of a political documentary about the story of the political war between Lithuania and the former USSR which occupied Lithuania after WWII. The movie documents the impact of Lithuania’s fight for independence on the lives of its famous basketball team. The story builds up to the clash between the two countries when they faced each other in the 1992 Olympics. This is a great documentary and you don’t have to be a basketball fan to enjoy and feel emotion while watching this moving documentary.
